Our comprehensive driver education program is designed to teach teens safe driving skills and the rules of the road to be safe and responsible drivers. Our experienced instructors will guide your teen through every step of the learning process, from online instruction to behind-the-wheel training.
If you are planning to teach your teenagers to drive yourself (18 years and older), we can provide you with the resources you need to be successful. We offer a variety of online and in-person driving techniques, including tips for teaching driving, practice tests, and information about the California DMV requirements.
Click "Register Now" to begin the process.
Select the 2-hour "pay-as-you-go" option or the 6-hour package (save $15!).
Complete the registration form with your teen's permit information, your contact details, and any other required information.
Use your credit card to complete your purchase.
You'll receive a DriveScout email with login details. Use it to access the calendar and book your teen's first lesson. Remember, save your link and password to access the DriveScout calendar to schedule your next lesson or to purchase another lesson inside of Orders.
Your teen MUST have their permit for every driving lesson. It's the law! Driving without a permit is illegal and could result in fines or other penalties for both of you. No permit? $40 late fee
Please provide at least 48 hours' notice. Cancellations made within 48 hours of your lesson will be subject to a $40 late cancellation fee.
Allow about 2 months between lessons. During this time, provide your teen with 15-20 hours of supervised practice driving.
Remember, your teen must have their permit for at least 6 months and be at least 16 years old to take the DMV test.
Within 90 days of the desired test date, your teen can schedule their driving test online through the DMV.
Book your teen's final lesson with us 2-4 weeks before their DMV test.
We'll provide your teen with a Certificate of Completion to prove they've fulfilled the DMV's 6-hour training requirement.
On the day of the test, your teen should arrive 15 minutes early with their certificate, permit, vehicle registration, and proof of insurance. The test takes approximately 15 minutes. Parents: Be prepared to show your driver's license to the DMV examiner.
